By accessing or using Safe Solo, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. Safe Solo is intended for users aged 18 and older.

2. Description of Service

Safe Solo provides safety intelligence for travelers, including city and neighborhood safety scores, real-time alerts, accommodation reviews, check-in systems, and route safety analysis. Our data is aggregated from multiple sources and updated regularly.

3. Important Safety Disclaimer

Safe Solo is an informational tool and does not guarantee your safety. Safety scores and alerts are based on available data and may not reflect real-time conditions. Always exercise personal judgment, follow local authorities' guidance, and register with your country's embassy when traveling abroad.

4. Free and Paid Services

  • Free tier: Research access to safety scores, neighborhood data, and community reviews at no cost, with no time limit.
  • Active Trip Pass ($14.99): Up to 14 days of real-time alerts, check-ins, route checking, and emergency contacts.
  • Digital Nomad ($99/year): Unlimited access to all paid features with annual billing.

5. Payments and Refunds

Payments are processed by Stripe. Trip Passes include a 14-day money-back guarantee from date of purchase. If you are not satisfied, contact support within 14 days for a full refund. Digital Nomad subscriptions may be cancelled at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period. No prorated refunds are offered for mid-cycle cancellations of Digital Nomad subscriptions.

6. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Submit false safety reports or misleading reviews.
  • Use the platform to stalk, harass, or endanger others.
  • Scrape, reverse-engineer, or commercially redistribute our data.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, safety scoring algorithms, and data aggregation methods are the intellectual property of Safe Solo. User-submitted reviews remain your property, but you grant us a license to display and use them on the platform.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Safe Solo is not liable for any personal injury, property damage, or other losses arising from your use of our service or reliance on our safety data. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the preceding 12 months.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email to registered users. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
