  • Account information: Name, email address, and authentication data via our provider Clerk.
  • Travel data: Destinations you research, trip itineraries, and check-in history.
  • Location data: Only when you explicitly use features like route checking or check-ins during an active trip. We never track location in the background.
  • Emergency contacts: Names and phone numbers you provide for your safety contacts.
  • Payment information: Processed securely by Stripe. We never store your card details.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide real-time safety intelligence and alerts for your destinations.
  • Power check-in features and emergency contact notifications.
  • Improve safety scoring accuracy through aggregated, anonymized data.
  • Process payments for Trip Passes and subscriptions.
  • Send safety alerts relevant to your active trips (with your permission).

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with:

  • Service providers: Clerk (authentication), Stripe (payments), and Convex (database hosting) — each bound by strict data processing agreements.
  • Emergency contacts: Only the information you choose to share when a check-in is missed.
  • Law enforcement: Only when required by law or to protect safety.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Trip data and check-in history are retained for 12 months after completion, then automatically deleted. You can request deletion of all your data at any time by contacting us.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access and download your personal data.
  • Correct inaccurate information.
  • Delete your account and all associated data.
  • Opt out of non-essential communications.
  • Withdraw consent for location tracking at any time.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Analytics cookies are only used with your consent.
